The prevalence of physician burnout has been on the rise over the last several years. With that in mind, the CardioSolution team created a flexible employment model designed to ease the burden on our interventional cardiologists and allow for greater work/life balance.
Below, you’ll find a list of each of the options we offer for interventional cardiologists and how they can help you combat the effects of burnout.
Option #1 – Long-term placement, 7 days on/7 days off
Creating time for the people and the activities that are most important to you is one of the best ways to avoid feeling burned out. This may seem like a challenge, but our unique model allows you to enjoy uninterrupted time for your family, friends, and hobbies every other week. That’s 26 weeks a year of being truly off—no call, no pagers, no disturbances at all—while still earning a full-time salary.
Option #2 – Short-term locum tenens coverage
Locum tenens coverage is often appealing for physicians looking to find joy in their work again and we’re happy to provide it as an option. We have 24/7 interventional cardiology programs at sites in Washington, Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, and New Mexico, with more to come, that occasionally require coverage from one of our locums physicians. With CardioSolution, you can work where you want, when you want and we cover your licensing and travel expenses.
Option #3 – Full-time at one site
Even our full-time employment model allows our physicians enough flexibility to maintain a better work/life balance and fight off burnout. While we do require relocation for this option, we do our best to ease the stress of the transition by providing a significant relocation bonus or paid housing and reimbursement for your travel costs. In addition, you’ll get 12 weeks of paid vacation and half of all holidays off.
All in all, taking care of our physicians is an essential part of our efforts to bring high-quality, 24/7 cardiology care to communities in need. When you’re at your best, so are we.
